It's been a couple of weeks since my last update where I talked about the inclusion of Mr. Bean to the roster. I've been hard at work on the eight character for this game and I've also had to dedicate a whole week once again to update the collision for everyone. Once that was all done, I started working on updating the game's presentation. I remade the character select screen and I updated the in-game HUD to flash whenever a character was hit, flash red whenever their health is low and I've added new graphics for when theres a KO or if Time has run out. 

I've also added new sound effects for some characters. I'm quite pleased in particular with Anakin as the added lightsaber sounds for when he's swinging or if his opponent gets hit makes him more fun to play and helps sell the idea of Star Wars crossing over with other shows.

I should also mention how the eighth character plays. Dave Lister from Red Dwarf joins the battle and is designed to be an all-rounder. He can zone people with his bazookoid fire and he also has a baseball bat which he can swing at opponents to damage them but he can also handily reflect projectiles. Love that I managed to get a soundbite of a bazookoid firing from the original series without a laugh track getting in the way. It's one of my favourite specials in the game.

I made sure to play-test with people before I released this build and quite a few bugs were spotted which I've managed to sort out. Keep in mind, more bugs may still be found in this build.

I'm very pleased that Mashup Fighter has come this far in the span of over a month and a half. All it needs now is the characters looking like the actual characters and some unique stage backgrounds to match the shows represented in this title, but this may take a good while as the process isn't as quick as just drawing stick figures.
