Mysterion Moveset Complete!


It's been a few days since the release of the first prototype but now I'm back to working on adding new characters to the game. 

The next addition to the roster will be a rep from South Park. Meet Kenny's super-hero alter ego Mysterion!

Mysterion was a great character to work on. I originally had conflicting ideas for his move-set and therefore wasn't sure how it was all going to be put together but I feel like I captured his fighting style very well in Mashup Fighter.  Many of his specials are taken from the game South Park: The Fractured But Whole. His projectile attack can damage and pull opponents towards him and he can use Dread Rush to zip through opponents and deal chip damage. I'm not sure how annoying the latter move might be in a multiplayer match but at the very least, Mysterion is so far proving to be a deadly force on the ground who's specialty is speed and throwing opponents off-balance. 

His throw attack in this game is very unique. I did take a bit of creative liberty with this one but I really like what his throw does compared to the rest of the cast. Rather than deal damage, it instead creates a state where his opponent is temporarily unable to shield. This is only fair as Mysterion has the most longest and most damaging combo string out of all the cast. He has to get into his opponents head and once there's an opening to spook them and disable their shield, deal huge damage to them when they're at their wits end.

I'm very pleased with how I've been able to differentiate all five characters so far and give each of them unique moves and specialties and I look forward to working on the rest of the roster!
